Virginia Tech Coastal Collaborator

From water quality testing on Tribal land to 3D modeling for the Department of Defense, the Virginia Tech Coastal Collaborator creates mutually beneficial partnerships that unite under Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, and mission of Virginia Tech Global Distinction.

Virginia Tech Coastal Collaborator (VTCC) is a gateway bringing the best of Virginia Tech’s capacity to the coast, matching current and emerging coastal resilience challenges to solutions.

The VTCC works to connect Virginia Tech researchers and students with stakeholders who are in need of support through scholarly work, data analysis, equipment assistance, expertise, and opportunity by fostering collaborative partnerships that address risk reduction, equity, and build enduring capacity for adaptation.

As an extension program with the Virginia Cooperative Extension, the VTCC has access to a comprehensive collection of resources, programs, and services that are research-proven, accessible, and contain actionable information that supports the success and resilience of individuals and communities throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond.

Under the umbrella of the Virginia Seafood Agricultural Research and Extension Center and supported through College of Agriculture and Life Science, College of Science, Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station, College of Engineering, National Security Institute, and Virginia Cooperative Extension, the VTCC benefits from the legacy of excellence Virginia Tech has created in Hampton Roads.
