Meet Our Students

Virginia Tech student support is essential to the operations of Biotech in a Box. Students pack and unpack kits, aliquot supplies and reagents, test equipment, and monitor the shipping schedule to ensure that supplies are available for future shipments. We are grateful for their support and would like you to meet the Hokies from Biotech in a Box.

Sarah Noel

I am a junior from Leesburg, Virginia, majoring in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience with minors in adaptive, brain and behavior and science, technology and law.

On campus I am part of the Honors College, Hokie Ambassadors, and Pi Beta Phi. After graduation, I'm interested in working for biotech/biomedical device companies.

On Biotech in a Box:
"It is a fantastic program that allows opportunities for the next generation of scientists! I hope that these kits are inspiring for students to pursue higher education in STEM fields."

Meg Reese

I am a sophomore and grew up in King George County, Virginia, on a farm with lots of horses, alpaca, dogs and cats. When I heard about Biotech in a Box, I knew it was a great way to continue helping high school STEM teachers like my hardworking mother. I hope to complete my undergraduate degree in physics, participate in various research studies, and pursue a masters in an undecided STEM field.

Fun Fact about Megan:  "I am a swing dance teacher and great enjoyer of math."
